Earlier, on January 11, 2024, HIPS held a panel discussion to highlight the importance of defending Somalia’s sovereignty in maintaining peace and security in Somalia and the Horn of Africa region. The panelists unanimously warned against the security implications of the MoU in Somalia at a time when Somalia is steadily recovering from years of instability.
